Yarra Contracting was engaged to deliver the civil landscape construction package at Union Station in Melbourne, forming part of the Victorian Government’s Level Crossing Removal Project. The project focused on transforming a key public transport interchange to improve accessibility, connectivity, and commuter experience across Melbourne’s growing rail network.
Working within an active rail corridor and dense urban environment, the project required careful planning, staged construction, and strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure uninterrupted public access and rail operations.

Mt Derrimut Road Station Upgrade | Yarra Contracting
Yarra Contracting delivered critical rail infrastructure construction works at Deer Park Station along Mt Derrimut Road in Melbourne, forming part of the Victorian Government’s Level Crossing Removal Project under the Western Program Alliance (WPA).
The upgrade aimed to improve safety, accessibility, and commuter flow across one of Melbourne’s key transport corridors while supporting the long-term growth of the metropolitan rail network.
Working within a live rail environment and active commuter precinct, the project required strict safety controls, carefully staged construction, and detailed planning to ensure minimal disruption to daily rail operations and public access.
Multi-Deck Car Park Construction at Frankston and Greensborough Stations, Melbourne

Yarra Contracting was engaged to deliver the civil and landscape works for two new multi-deck car park facilities at Frankston and Greensborough Stations, part of a broader Victorian Government initiative to enhance commuter access and support public transport infrastructure across metropolitan Melbourne.
Delivered across two concurrent, operational transport precincts, the works included bulk earthworks, roadworks, car park construction, concrete pavements, bluestone paving, pedestrian paths, external drainage, and soft landscaping.
Pump Track Construction Beneath Bolte Bridge, Footscray Road, Melbourne
Yarra Contracting | West Gate Tunnel Project
As part of the West Gate Tunnel Project, Yarra Contracting delivered the construction of a purpose built pump track along Footscray Road, Melbourne, beneath Bolte Bridge. The project transformed an underutilised residual space beneath a major transport corridor into a functional community asset designed to encourage active use within a constrained urban environment.
The objective was to create a durable and safe recreational facility that maximised the available footprint while meeting strict construction tolerances and compliance standards.
